To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Kelvin Thomas. I have had the distinct pleasure of working professionally with Kelvin since we met at the Council for Opportunity in Education Conference in 2006. He is resourceful, motivated, and a self-starter. I seldom meet anyone who is as competent as Kelvin.
As a state government employee, who also sits on executive and planning committees of various organizations, part of my responsibilities include ordering promotional items to be used as giveaways or given as gifts at trade shows, conferences, college fairs, etc. Being a government employee, I have a budget that I have to stay within, which in and of itself, is a challenge in today’s economy. But the biggest challenge that I face is the time it takes for requests to get through our approval process. Kelvin understands my circumstances and it doesn’t matter if I get the approval a few weeks before I need the merchandise, Kelvin ALWAYS comes through! From the moment I let him know that it’s approved, he will have everything processed within hours and have my order to the vendor. The orders are always right, the process is smooth and the products are exactly what I wanted.
We have all heard the term…….. “Putting 110% of yourself ” …… into your job. In Kelvin’s case it’s 150% or more. I don’t think the word “can’t” is in his vocabulary. Kelvin is strictly a “can-do” person.
